Master Conflict Management Before It Costs You a Team, a Patient, or a Day.
A focused, evidence-based course built around the Thomas-Kilmann Instrument (TKI) โ the framework used worldwide to understand how people handle conflict, so your team can resolve it faster and more constructively.
Every NHS professional deals with conflict. Few are ever taught how to handle it.
A disagreement over a treatment plan. A tense handover. Friction with a manager under pressure. A frightened relative who's ready to shout. Unresolved conflict drains energy, erodes team trust, and โ in a clinical setting โ can put patient safety at risk. This course gives you a simple, repeatable way to recognise conflict early and resolve it before it escalates.

What is the Thomas-Kilmann Instrument?
The TKI maps how people respond to conflict along two dimensions: how assertive they are about their own needs, and how cooperative they are toward others'. Together, these produce five distinct conflict-handling modes.
Most of us default to one or two modes under pressure โ often without realising it. This course teaches you to recognise your own default, read the style of the person in front of you, and flex your approach to resolve conflict quickly and constructively.
